A traditional cask marque accredited real ale pub in the heart of Moseley village, encapturing the spirit of Moseley and providing an atmosphere for all to enjoy!
Originally built in the 1840’s and rebuilt in 1887, the Prince of Wales has been a staple of Moseley and while cosmetic changes have occurred throughout the years we are proud to say the pub still holds the feel of a traditional victorian public house.
We aren’t ones to shy away from our heritage, housing a Tolkien Lounge as a nod to author J. R. R. Tolkien who is known to have visited the Prince on many occasions and sit in the room behind the main bar out of sight from his land lady.
Most recently Sheldon Inns LTD have taken over and along with Greeneking have funded a refurbishment to restore the Prince back to its former glory!

Real log burning open fires inside and outside providing class and ambiance to your trip. Indoor and outdoor screens showing live sport all year round.
A wide range of real cask ales on hand pulls with frequent stock rotation to provide plenty of choices. An array of spirits, bottled drinks, draught larger, cider and craft beer so there is something for everyone. whilst being 5* cask marque accredited so you know all your drinks are looked after and served correctly.
The twist - a modern summer beer garden filled with foliage and fire pits that create lots of atmosphere. With a specialist cocktail bar and live music over the weekends - our garden is the perfect destination for any day and any occasion.
FRONT BAR
Here’s where it all began, over 100 years ago. It’s been through some changes but the base has stood the test of time, serving cask conditioned ales within traditional pub surroundings. We’ve got five hand pulls, drawing a variety of great beers. House options include Timothy Taylor’s Landlord & Wye Valley Brewery HPA.
In addition to cask ales we offer an extensive draught range including larger, cider, stout and craft beer as well as a wide range of spirits, so there really is something for everyone!

Our Garden
Moseley’s worst kept secret, Hidden at the rear of the pub, our large beer garden is the heart and soul of Moseley’s nightlife!
With a large seated area containing real wood burning fire pits, a large screen TV and surround sound system, there’s plenty on that provides class, ambiance and atmosphere to any night out.
Our garden bar includes a draught range of Aspall, Guinness and Staropramen and bottled range including Desperado, Peroni, Kopparberg Strawberry and Lime & Mixed Fruits.
The Prince of Wales wouldn’t be complete without its own cocktail bar so of course out back is where to find all your cocktail needs from the classic Espresso Martini to the Tiki style Zombie and many more in-between.
